Saraswati Puja 2026

We cordially invite you for our upcoming event, Saraswati Puja 2026 on Saturday, January 24th and seek your active participation to make this event successful. 


The venue is the same as last year, 

Alexandria Room, Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main St, Newtown, CT

Just like any of our earlier programs, we’ll have several attractions on the Puja.    
Food –    Following the tradition of Saraswati Puja, we’ll serve lunch prepared by our members cooked on premise. We’ll seek several volunteers for help in the kitchen
Cultural Program –  We are seeking nominations from our junior members for cultural performances (song, dance, recitation etc).  Please send your nominations if you would like to participate.   

Also please write to us if you want to volunteer for the puja arrangement or any other activities.

Timing: 

    Pujo will start at 11 AM and we’ll have Pushpanjali at  around 12 PM.  Prasad distribution and Lunch will follow.  
    If you have a child of eligible age and are interested in Hate-Khori, please let us know as well.

This year’s Saraswati Puja Donations are: 

  • Adult (more than 12 years): $30 (Members) / $40 (Non-Members)     
  • Children (6 years to 12 years) : $10 (Members) / $15 (Non-Members) 
  • Children (below 6 years): Free

Parichoy Annual Picnic 2025

Parichoy Annual Picnic is currently planned for August 24th at Crystal lake Park, Middletown CT. 

Parichoy Annual Picnic, over the years, has been with loads of fun, games and a mouth-watering lunch with BBQ and other refreshments. And lately the special attraction has been traditional picnic style on-site cooking with mangsho-bhat.

Annual Program 2025

We are pleased to announce that Parichoy Annual Program 2025 will be on Saturday June 7th, 2025

Torrington Middle School

Please join us as we pay tribute to the talented artists of Bengal and help our young generation to familiarize with our heritage.

Hemanta Utsav 2024

Parichoy Hemanta Utsav 2024 to be on Saturday Nov 9th, 2024 at Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Temple in Middletown, CT. From 3 PM to 6 PM. We invite you all in the event to attend and participate in the cultural events

You can participate in any solo or group performance in Hemanta Utsav. In alignment with Parichoy’s objective, we would recommend the theme of the performances to be in bengali. Please send in your participation nomination by Nov 1st to parichoyctorg@gmail.com. While we’ll try our best to accommodate all participants, it’ll be on a first come first serve basis till slots are available.

Few guidelines to note for program participation –
Multiple performances by the same person are restricted to accommodate most of the participants possible – please restrict to the one which is your best.
Please briefly mention the nature and duration of your segment [e.g. Song/Instrument/ Recital/Recitation/Dance (type) etc] as you send the nomination and any specific sound requirement you may need for your program. Participants are required to bring their own instruments as applicable.
Non-members can participate in group performances, if performing with one or more Parichoy members. There is a registration fee of $5 per child (non-member)and $10 per adult (non-member).
Following participation duration guidelines shall be followed
Kid’s Solo – 3 minutes/child
Adult’s Solo – 6 minutes/adult
Group Performance (short) – ≤10 minutes. (min 3 Parichoy members or their children).
Group Performance (long) – 20-25 minutes. (min 5 Parichoy members or their children).
