Award-winning immunologist Sankar Ghosh, PhD, was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in recognition of his distinguished and continuing achievements in original research. He is among 120 newly elected members announced by the Academy on April 26, 2021.
Dr Ghosh is a renowned Immunologist. He is the Chairman and Silverstein and Hutt Family Professor of Microbiology & Immunology in Columbia University Medical Center.
Member of National Academy of Science, a recognition that is only awarded to a few. As a national academy, new members of the organization are elected annually by current members, based on their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research. Election to the National Academy is one of the highest honors in the scientific field.
